Join us at Skagit Valley College for two keynotes and two sections of breakout session. The Connections Conference is an early learning conference for infant/toddler, preschool & school age providers, administrators and directors, and parents. Online registration is open until March 12, 2020.
Keynote speakers include Miriam Dressler and Diane H. Craft, Ph.D.
Miriam Dressler has been an educator for over 35 years. She has taught in South Africa, Germany and the U.S. in classrooms and training rooms, from the very young to the (quite) old, and believes that all successful education is based on love and joy.
She is the Director of Education & Learning at Bloom Early Education, a preschool she co-owns in Edmonds, WA. Miriam has a Masters Degree in Early Ed and Curriculum Development, is a MERIT trainer, a NAC Accreditation Validator, CDA Professional Development Specialist, and co-author of Prove It!: Achieving Quality Recognition for Your Early Childhood Program (Redleaf Press).
Diane H. Craft, Ph.D. Professor Emerita, Physical Education Department, SUNY Cortland. Dr. Craft has co-authored four books on developmentally appropriate, inclusive physical activity for young children including Active Play! Fun Physical Activities for Young Children. In addition, Dr. Craft has given over 265 highly-acclaimed presentations, workshops and keynotes on preschool physical activities to audiences across the nation. She is currently consulting with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the subject matter expert on Early Childhood Physical Activity.
