Opportunity Council and Child Care Aware of NW Washington seek a full-time Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to join our team in the Early Learning and Family Services Department.
As a member of the Quality Child Care team, the IECMHC will work closely with Early Achievers Coaches and Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington. The new Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (IECMHC) will strengthen the capacity of early childhood education professionals to promote healthy social and emotional development in children and address mental and behavioral health challenges.
The IECMHC will consult with teachers, child care providers, and families to create individual support plans and help prevent expulsion of children from child care and early learning settings. In addition, the IECMHC will provide training for Early Achievers coaches, child care licensors, child care providers, and community members, as well as health education for parents, caregivers, and early learning professionals. The IECMHC will also support changes in practices and policies that benefit children, families, and adults in early learning settings.
Some evening and weekend work is required.
Salary range starts at $30.39/hourly.
