CCA Northwest’s Professional Development Academy
Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington’s (CCA Northwest) Professional Development Academy offers a variety of STARS eligible classes in the Washington State Core Competencies for early care and education professionals. Our trainers are Washington State STARS-approved experts in the early childhood field who have related experience and understanding of your work.
Our trainings will support the work you do with Early Achievers and can include follow-up coaching as appropriate. Trainings give you the opportunity to learn together in-person, virtually, or at an arranged space to share, interact, and learn.

Training fees can be reimbursed individually through MERIT for those who have MERIT accounts. DCYF offers reimbursement for state-approved training costs for professionals currently employed in a licensed facility. You may apply for a training reimbursement once per DCYF fiscal year (July 1–June 30) for up to $250, while funding is available. Our classes are STARS-approved and qualify for reimbursement.
