Implementing Emergent Curriculum
Emergent Curriculum is an approach that allows young children’s interests to take the lead! In this training, participants will learn about how teachers can implement emergent curriculum. This training will cover: the role of the adult, child, and environment; the importance of play-based learning; how assessment works in an emergent curriculum; and creating plans using the Washington ELDGs. This is a two-part training, with an independent assignment to complete between sessions. This training meets requirements for Early Achievers Records Review – Standard 2: Curriculum.
