Farm to ECE: An Introduction

Are you curious about how you can strengthen your classroom or program’s connection to food and nutrition? Farm to ECE: An Introduction is designed to support you in finding ways to make those connections. This training will offer a variety of ideas and practical ways to implement them, from taste tests to gardening to field trips.
In this self-paced online training, you will learn about:
- Farm to ECE, and how it connects to meet CACFP standards and best practices
- Experience-based learning in the classroom, garden, and community
- Starting and maintaining a garden, and connecting with local food sources
- Engaging families, staff, and the community in your Farm to ECE activities
Please note: This training is hosted on Canvas, and is self-paced. You are required to participate in discussion boards, and will take a 7-question quiz at the end of the class to receive STARS credit in MERIT. This class should take you approximately two hours to complete; you have until March 31, 2026 to complete all of the content and pass the quiz.
This training awards 2 STARS hours upon completion.
