Child Care Choice Navigator, Lynnwood Office
Chelsey is one of two Child Care Choice Navigators at Opportunity Council and is dedicated to helping families in Snohomish County find and enroll in child care, and access other resources available to them. Chelsey’s passion for working with youth and in child care settings was sparked by her lived experience as an at-risk youth struggling with mental health and substance-use. After becoming a teen mom, Chelsey began her own wellness journey – which is what sparked her desire to help other young children persevere, overcome, and grow from life’s obstacles. Chelsey holds her Associate’s degree in Social and Human Services, and has worked in a variety of residential and community health settings as a Youth Counselor, Case Manager, and Caregiver. Outside of work, Chelsey is a mother to two daughters who inspire her each day and enjoys spending time in nature, rock hounding and collecting, cooking, and spending time with her Fiancé, extended family and two cats.
