Early Learning Coach, Mount Vernon Office
Maria Salazar was born in Mexico, her first language is Spanish,
and she has lived in the United States for 25 years. Her passion
for education began at an early age, as she comes from a family
of educators. Since she was little, Maria admired her parents
for the love and dedication they gave to their work as
educators. When it was time to make a career choice, she chose
to be a teacher. Maria earned her Bachelor’s degree in
Elementary Education in Mexico in 1999 and subsequently
relocated to the United States, where she began working as a
Lead Teacher in early childhood education programs. In 2019,
Maria joined the CCA Northwest team as an Early Learning
Coach, a role that has allowed her to support numerous
families, children, and individuals committed to early
childhood education. Currently enrolled at North Seattle
College, Maria is pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in Early
Childhood Education (ECE). Residing in Mount Vernon, WA,
Maria values quality time with her two children in her personal
life.
