SUMMARY:Teaching Friendship Skills
DESCRIPTION:Friendship skills are invaluable for children’s present and future success!  This interactive workshop gives early learning professionals concrete ways to support children’s social-emotional learning so they can be successful in their daily play and developing relationships with their peers.  Participants will reflect on their current approaches; learn to teach children how to enter and sustain play; and consider how to promote an anti-bias classroom through teaching friendship skills.  This training includes approaches provided and inspired by the Pyramid Model. \nTrainer: Allie Bishop \nSTARS Hours: 2 \n@public

DESCRIPTION:Emergent Curriculum is an approach that allows young children’s interests to take the lead! In this training\, participants will learn about how teachers can implement emergent curriculum. This training will cover: the role of the adult\, child\, and environment; the importance of play-based learning; how assessment works in an emergent curriculum; and creating plans.
