SUMMARY:The Growing Brain: Cognition and Executive Function
DESCRIPTION:Cognition and Executive Function training is one of seven training sessions that is part of the Growing Brain Series from Zero to Three. This session will focus how young children develop cognitive and executive functions in relation to the developing brain. We will look at how cognitive development unfolds and how we can support cognitive development. We will then move onto learning about Executive Functioning and its critical role in overall development. We will look at ways to support executive functions in everyday routines. It is not necessary to take other Growing Brain modules to take this course. This training will help you reflect on who you are and what type of child care and early learning you provide and how to create a message and a “brand”. It will include information about diversity and inclusion considerations.
