SUMMARY:Reimagining Circle Time
DESCRIPTION:What if circle time wasn’t about getting children to sit still\, listen\, and participate—but about creating a place where children want to gather? \nIn this interactive training\, we’ll take a fresh look at circle time as an opportunity to connect\, build community\, and learn together. We’ll explore the purpose and flow of circle time\, how to make gathering and transitions work for different ages and developmental levels\, and how to weave in songs\, stories\, play\, movement\, and early learning experiences. We’ll also consider the roles of teachers and children\, including how to create more opportunities for children’s ownership and participation. \nThis training invites educators to reconsider what circle time can be—and leave with practical ideas for making it more engaging\, playful\, purposeful\, and responsive to the children in their care.   \nTrainer: Allie Bishop \nSTARS Hours: 3 \nThis training is appropriate for anyone working with children 0-5\, but is especially relevant for those working with children 2-5 in center-based settings.
