DESCRIPTION:Are you curious about how you can strengthen your classroom or program’s connection to food and nutrition?  Farm to ECE: An Introduction is designed to support you in finding ways to make those connections.  This training will offer a variety of ideas and practical ways to implement them\, from taste tests to gardening to field trips. \nIn this self-paced online training\, you will learn about: \nFarm to ECE\, and how it connects to meet CACFP standards and best practices\nExperience-based learning in the classroom\, garden\, and community\nStarting and maintaining a garden\, and connecting with local food sources\nEngaging families\, staff\, and the community in your Farm to ECE activities\nPlease note: This training is hosted on Canvas\, and is self-paced.  You are required to participate in discussion boards\, and will take a 7-question quiz at the end of the class to receive STARS credit in MERIT.  This class should take you approximately two hours to complete; you have until March 31\, 2026 to complete all of the content and pass the quiz.   \nThis training awards 2 STARS hours upon completion. \nAfter you register for this class\, you will be emailed instructions on how to access this class via Canvas within 2 business days.  Please note that your first confirmation email will not include those details.  You can email childcare@oppco.org with any questions you may have! \n@public
