Opportunity Council is seeking an Assistant Director for the Quality Child Division within the Early Learning and Family Services Department. Are you or someone you know looking for a great opportunity to serve in a leadership role to support child care and early childhood education?
The Assistant Director oversees the development, performance, and evaluation of child care supports and related services in Snohomish, Island, Skagit, San Juan, and Whatcom counties. This position will collaborate with Opportunity Council leadership, Child Care Aware of Washington, and government entities to provide strategic leadership for continuous quality improvement and increasing capacity in child care.
Education and Required Work Experience
- B.A. in Early Childhood Education/Child Development/Human Services or related field OR equivalent education credits and/or professional experience demonstrating satisfactory level of knowledge required for this position.
- Five years of progressive leadership/management experience in early childhood education settings including knowledge of ECE program operations in center and family home care settings.
- Experience in financial and budgetary management with additional preferred experience in grant management.
- Training or professional experience in social services working with households with low incomes or other families experiencing barriers to healthy child development and family financial resiliency.
Starting Salary: $34.95–$58.98/hour.
