Teacher Assistant- Infant room (1 – 12 months)

Join a teaching team that is responsible for the care and safety of these children who are up to 5 years old. Helping supervise, and implement a program of developmentally appropriate activities to meet the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the children in your care. Ensure the safety and well being of the children in your classroom through careful supervision. Form a partnership with parents to promote the growth and development of their children.

A qualified candidate will have and provide a copy of High school diploma or equivalent or college transcript. The candidate should be  be in the process of obtaining a degree or certificate in Early Childhood Education or related field and experience working with children in group care. Candidates must provide: a cleared portable background check in MERIT, Negative TB test, MMR inoculation and Infant/Child/Adult First Aid & CPR .

State required trainings, WA Food handlers Card and 30 hours Basics in childcare (STARS) can be obtained at hire.

We are looking for a full time assistant teacher interested in growing alongside our toddler children. Our center is passionate about having a collaborative team that values the health, safety, and education for young children and families. Through modeling, back and forth conversations, and play, children are guided through daily routines experiencing love, singing, and stories.

If you are interested in receiving your Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or stackable teaching certificate, after 3 months of employment, you become eligible to apply for a FULL scholarship to attend community college. In addition, there are extensions for individuals interested in receiving their Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or other related child development.

Compensation starts at $17.28 and is dependent on the number of early childhood education college credits the candidate possesses. Full time positions after a probationary period, are eligible for benefits (medical & dental after 60 days, vacation pay after 90 days, & retirement after 1 year).
