Early Achievers Prepares Children for Success in Schools

We are committed to ensuring that all children in Washington can access quality earning learning opportunities that support their natural curiosity, critical thinking skills, social and emotional development, and positive child outcomes.
Comprehensive Quality Rating and Improvement
Early Achievers is Washington’s Quality Rating and Improvement System for child care providers. A statewide, research-based program, Early Achievers provides free support and resources to child care providers so they can integrate proven high-quality early learning and child care into every aspect their programs. Thousands of providers are participating statewide – reaching more than 70,000 young children every day. These Early Achiever superstars are engaged in continuous quality improvement efforts and their programs have been validated by the University of Washington.
Early Achievers programs are rated in four main areas:
- Child outcomes
- Curriculum, learning environment and interactions
- Professional development and training, and
- Family Engagement and partnership
