We loved reconnecting with you all at the Focus on Children conference at Bellingham Technical College. This year’s conference was another great opportunity for child care providers and early learning professionals to network and share experiences. The keynote speaker, Laura Porter, provided an informative overview of the Adverse Childhood Experiences and Resilience (ACES) data. We appreciated her wealth of resources for cultivating resiliency in young minds, and we left with a feeling of renewed inspiration.
Our team at Child Care Aware of Northwest Washington was proud to represent our organization at this event and share a smorgasbord of local, high-quality resources. One of our awesome Early Achiever’s coaches, Melanie Coyne, facilitated an Affinity group discussion, and our Advocacy Lead, Sue Duncan, was excited to share advocacy opportunities and resources. Did you get an advocacy post card? Have you taken a look at Child Care Aware of Washington’s easy to use Action Center at https://childcareawarewa.org/advocacy.
We were also excited to share our training calendar, especially our upcoming in-person Child Care Basics training. You can register for upcoming classes at www.ccanorthwest.org/calendar. Sue, Rae, Bracken, and Kat also had a blast at Lunchtime. Did you catch our raffle? All of these wonderful toys and books were a generous donation!
Are you currently in school, or do you want to further your education in the field of Early Learning? We also have loads of information on our Child Care Aware of Washington Scholarships as well.
Thank you for sharing this day with us. We look forward to seeing you all at this event next year.
